NEWBURYPORT, MASSACHUSETTS (November 2022) – The Basin Apparel Company has opened a new flagship location in downtown Newburyport at 19 Water Street. The Basin apparel company is continuing the legacy of the outdoor/lifestyle apparel shop in downtown Newburyport which started over 30 years ago as The Alpine Shop, Rapids, and more recently Haulover at 7 Liberty Street. As a boater, skier and avid lover of all things New England, Karyn Khatib opened The Basin Apparel Company in August 2020 with a desire to grow the offerings from her favorite lifestyle brands including Patagonia, Helly Hansen, The North Face, Kuhl and more. Karyn strives to create a community at The Basin that can help outfit you for all of your New England adventures - whether you are on the water, on the mountain, or around town, having the right apparel can make each of these experiences more enjoyable.

The Basin Apparel Company has experienced exponential growth since their opening and has quickly outgrown their existing footprint. Karyn is excited to offer both their new Flagship location at 19 Water Street along with their current 7 Liberty Street location.
